A former Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Design (EVDS), Dr. Sinclair has spent years advising, inspiring, and influencing the institution in areas spanning landscape, urban, architectural, and interior design, with a strong focus on sustainability. His academic background in both architecture and psychology, coupled with extensive experience across various roles, has shaped his commitment to interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinary scholarship. Dr. Sinclair’s research focuses on quality of life, community engagement, and lived experience, driven by a value system centered on integration and holism.

By advocating for a holistic, evidence-based approach to design, he is pushing the boundaries of what architecture can achieve, to create spaces that are not only functional but also meaningful to users and responsive to human needs. Dr. Sinclair’s work offers a compelling vision for the future of architecture — one where art, science, and human experience converge to create cities, communities, spaces and places that truly matter.
