Year End Show

YES 2023

The Year End Show (YES) is a public celebration of student accomplishments in architecture, planning, and landscape architecture, showcasing work that pushes the boundaries of imagination and design.

Exhibition | April 28-29

The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape’s YES (Year End Show) 2023, is a public, inviting and welcoming celebration of student accomplishments in architecture, planning and landscape.

The exhibition will comprise plans, 3D models and renderings that push the boundaries of imagination and design, showcasing everything from buildings that address social or economic inequity, and ideas of what an enticing and resilient future downtown Calgary needs to be, to what sustainable planning and landscapes can look like in the face of the current climate emergency.

The show also serves as a network builder, offering an opportunity for industry, community and students to create connections, share ideas and build relationships.

The exhibition is located at the City Building Design Lab (CBDLab), in the old downtown library location across from city hall.

The YES show is free to attend, and is open to the public, from April 28 to 29.

Opening Party | April 28, 2023

A long-time standing SAPL tradition, the YES show opening party, was an evening filled with remarkable student work from the graduating class, as well as foundational SAPL programs.

It was a public, inviting, and welcoming celebration of student accomplishments in architecture, planning, and landscape, and served as a network builder, offering an opportunity for industry, community and students to create connections, share ideas and build relationships.

As a public event, family, friends and colleagues were also invited to take part in the music, food and drinks of the evening, as the SAPL community wrapped up the 22/23 academic year on a high note.
