Peer support at the Campus Community Hub

Find out what's all the hubbub about the Campus Community Hub.

Since opening its doors in April 2017, the Campus Community Hub has given the Student Wellness Services the space to expand its services with the support of the Campus Mental Health Strategy.

So, what can you actually *do* at the Hub? Besides boasting some of the best murals on campus, here are three things to check out:

Thursday Hang at the Hub

Every Thursday evening, drop in at the Campus Community Hub for free food, to meet new people and do some crafts. Every week there’s a new thing to do, like paint night, PALS pet therapy, making slime, pumpkin carving (sorry, just for Halloween), planting flowers and much more.

Volunteer

If you’re looking for volunteer experience to build your resume and skillset, think about joining the Campus Community Hub peer support team. The spirited volunteers host events like Thursday Hang at the Hub and go out onto the campus to talk to other students about wellness.

Board Game Cafe

Bored on campus? Drop in Wednesday afternoons to make some time to play. The Hub is fully stocked with board games, free snacks and coffee and tea. It's a good way to meet new people and de-stress - at least for a little while.

Painting and Pizza

Every Tuesday drop in for free pizza and painting with the student volunteers.

The Campus Community Hub is next to the Subway in Yamnuska Hall. Drop in for a visit.
