DSGN 363 - Computational Design for the Built Environment - Winter 2025

An exploration into the background, history, implementation, and use of algorithms in design, along with computational geometry techniques for generating design outcomes through modeling. Key topics include parametric, rule-based, agent-based, and learning-based systems.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

  • Design 263 and admission to the Bachelor of Design in City Innovation program.

Antirequisite(s)

  • Credit for Design 363 and any of Computer Science 215, 217, 231, 235, Data Science 211, Computer Engineering 339, Engineering 233 or Digital Engineering 233 will not be allowed.
